Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know before ordering your bouquet. Don't see your question? Email orders@qlflorals.com and I'll happily help.
How does ordering work?
You design your bouquet right here on the site — shape, size, color palette, any flowers you love or want to avoid, plus optional add-ons. When you're happy with it, you pick a date and pay, and your bouquet is booked on the spot. No back-and-forth, no consultation call required (though I'm always reachable if you'd like one).
How far in advance should I order?
A few days' notice is the minimum, and some specialty blooms — peonies, for example — need a little longer. The calendar only shows dates I can actually make, so if you can select it, it's available. For peak seasons and weekends, earlier is always better.
How much does a bouquet cost?
Pricing is based on the size you choose, with a few shapes and add-ons (like a matching boutonnière or a vase) priced separately. Your full total — including any delivery fee and sales tax — is shown clearly before you pay, with no surprises.
Can I choose my flowers and colors?
Absolutely. You can set a color palette, list flowers you'd love to include, and flag any you'd prefer to avoid. Prefer to leave it to me? You can skip those steps entirely and trust the florist's eye — either way works beautifully.
What if a flower I picked isn't available?
Flowers are seasonal and nature doesn't always cooperate. If something you requested isn't available or isn't up to standard on the day, I'll substitute a comparable bloom of equal or greater value while keeping the overall look and palette you wanted. Anything on your "avoid" list stays out, always.
Do you deliver, or do I pick up?
Both. Pickup is in North Beach, San Francisco — I'll share the exact address and timing in your confirmation. Delivery is available within roughly 20 miles of the city for a flat fee shown at checkout; beyond that range, pickup is the way to go.
When do I pay?
Your order is paid in full at checkout, securely through Stripe. That's what locks in your date and lets me start planning right away.
Can I change my date or cancel?
Life happens — I'm glad to shift your date at no charge whenever I can, so please reach out early. For cancellations, a full refund (less a small holding fee) is available 30+ days out; closer in, it depends on whether your flowers have been ordered yet. The full details are in the Terms & Conditions.
How do I take care of my bouquet?
Keep it cool and out of direct sunlight, and give the stems fresh water whenever you can. If you'll be carrying it around for a long day, a vase add-on is a lovely way to keep it fresh between moments.
